The Sprung series of prints is inspired by experimentation of color beyond the traditional print space. This unique monotype print is named "Quatuor," latin for quartet. Four figures are seen moving about expressing different attitudes and emotions. They are moving around a maroon-lit open space highlighted by short green streaks, dream-like floating vegetation and sea creatures. Hand cut stencils balanced with colors for continuous interest. Archival paper. (art: H: 19 1/2" x W: 23 1/2" / paper: H: 20 1/2" x W: 24 1/2") Signed & dated front (pencil) & back (archival ink). The paper is thick at 250 gsm (grams per square meter).
